ILEOSTOMY IN NECROTIZING ENTEROCOLITIS

Five patients with NEC perforation underwent surgery between February and October 2016 in OUR Intensive Care Center. Necrotic bowel wall with perforation was found in the distal part of the ileum in all patients and ileostomy was created just above the site of perforation. Mean gestational age and birth weights of the patients were 31.4±2.0 weeks (range, 25-36 weeks) 1678±249.2 gr (range, 850-2260 gr), respectively. Mean age of the patient at the time of surgery was 12.4±2.8 days (range, 6-21 days). Ileostomy was remained 25.6±2.7 days (range, 18-32 days). During this period no patient lost weight. All patients received oral feeding and intermittent intravenous fluid for replacement for the ileostomy loss, Mean weight gain per day was 12.4±1.5 gr (range, 8.3-17.1 gr). We haven’t seen any complication related to the ileostomy during follow-up. Only one patient developed adhesive ileus in the second month following the ostomy closure requiring surgery in another center.

Şubat-Temmuz 2016 tarihleri arasında beş yenidoğana nekrotizan enterokolite bağlı olarak gelişen perforasyon nedeniyle ileostomi yapıldı. Ortalama gestasyonel yaş ve doğum ağırlıkları 31.4±2.0 hafta (25-36 weeks) ve 1678±249.2 gr (850-2260 gr) olarak saptandı. Ameliyat sırasında ortalama yaş 12.4±2.8 gündü (6-21 days). Hastalar ileostomili olarak 25.6±2.7 gün (18-32 days) izlendi. İzlem sırasında kilo kaybı olmadı. Hastaların tümü oral beslenme yanında intravenöz yolla da desteklendi. İleostomiden oluşan kayıplar yerine kondu. Hastaların gün başına kilo alımları 12.4±1.5 gr (8.3-17.1 gr) olarak saptandı. İzlem sırasında ileostomiye bağlı olarak herhangi bir komplikasyon gelişmedi. Bir hastada ileostomy kapatılması sonrasında adezif ileus gelişti.
