Exstrophya vesica is a rare congenital anomaly that occurs when the anterior surface of the urinary bladder and the anterior abdominal wall above it are not closed, and the posterior wall of the urinary bladder is opened directly to the skin below the navel. In this presentation, the importance of catheters in patients with extrophia vezica, how to care and the responsibilities of a nurse in patients with extrophia vezica are discussed. The purpose of this study is to convey to you the information we have experienced from the patients we care for, since there is not enough information about nursing care and what needs to be considered because it is a rare disease.

Ekstrofia vezika idrar kesesinin ön yüzünün ve üzerindeki karın ön duvarının kapanmaması sonucu idrar kesesi arka duvarının göbeğin altında doğrudan deriye açılmasıyla görülen seyrek bir konjenital anomalidir. Bu sunumda extrofia vezicalı hastalarda kataterlerin önemi, nasıl bakım yapılacağı ve extrofia vezica tanılı hastalarda bir hemşirenin üstlendiği sorumluluklar ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, seyrek görülen bir hastalık olduğu için hemşirelik bakımı ve dikkat edilmesi gerekenler ile ilgili yeteri kadar bilgi olmaması üzerine, baktığımız hastalardan deneyimlediğimiz bilgileri size aktarmaktır.
