LAPAROENDOSCOPIC SINGLE SITE VARICOSELECTOMY (LESS-V)
Aim: To present our early results of laparoendoscopic single-site varicoselectomy (LESS-V) experiences on the treatment of varicocele.
Material and Methods: We analyzed retrospectively the data of five male patients who underwent single-port varicoselectomy (LESS-V) surgery between January 2012 and October 2012.
Results: None of the patients needed conversion to open surgery. Five patients underwent transabdominal LESS-V. The median age of patients was 14.6 years (12-18), We applied LESS-V in 4 cases to the left site and in one case bilaterally. Grading of varicoceles were Grade 3 in 3 patients, Grade 4 in one patient, and one patient had Grade 4 on the left side, as well as, Grade 3 on the right side. The median operative time was 32 (25-40) minutes. Duration of hospital stay was 1 day, and the median follow-up was 11.2 ( 8-13) months. We did not encounter any perioperative complication. During further postoperative period none of the patients had testicular athrophy, only one patient developed minimal hydrocele and did not require surgical intervention. None of the patients had recurrence during the follow-up period.
Conclusion: The varicocele surgery implemented by single port laparoscopic intervention has taken a favorable place in varicocele surgery as being an effective, reliable and easily applied minimal invasive technique.

TEK PORT LAPAROSKOPİK VARİKOSELEKTOMİ
AMAÇ: Bu calışmada amacımız tek port varikoselektomi (LESS-V) ameliyatlarımızın erken sonuçlarını sunmaktır.
GEREÇ-YÖNTEM: Ocak 2012 ile Ekim 2012 tarihleri arasında tek port varikoselektomi (LESS-V) operasyonu uygulanan 5 erkek hastanın verileri retrospektif olarak incelendi.
BULGULAR: 5 olguya, transabdominal LESS-V prosedürü uygulandı. Hiçbir olguda acık cerrahiye geciş gerekmedi. Hastaların ortanca yaşı 14,6 yıl(12-18) olarak saptandı. Olguların dördüne sol, birine bilateral LESS-V uygulandı. Varikosel derecelendirilmesinde; üç hastada Grade 3, bir hastada Grade 4 ve bir hastada solda Grade 4, sağda Grade 3 tespit edildi. Olguların ortanca operasyon süresi 32 (25-40) dakika olarak ölçüldü. Olguların ortanca hastanede kalış süresi bir gün ve ortanca takip süresi 11,2 (8-13) aydır. Hiçbir hastada peroperatif komplikasyon izlenmedi. Hastalarmızda testis atrofisi gelişmezken,bir olguda müdahele gerektirmeyen minimal hidrosel izlendi. Takip süresinde içerisinde hastalarımızda nüks gelişmi saptanmadı.
SONUÇ: Tek port laparoskopik girişimle uygulanan varikosel cerrahisi etkilili güvenilir ve kolay uygulanır minimal invaziv bir yöntem olarak varikosel cerrahisinde kendine yer bulmuştur.
