Isolate Penil Torsion in Two Siblings

Introduction: Penile torsion is a congenital malformation that results in a rotational defect of the penile shaft. We present ısolate penil torsion in two siblings who applied for circumcision.
Case 1: 10 years old boy applied for circumcision. Physical examination findings showed 90° penile torsion directed in a counter clockwise fashion. Penil torsion was corrected by degloving the penis and reattaching the skin. Postoperative recovery was uneventful.
Case 2: 8 years old boy applied for circumcision. Physical examination findings showed 45° penile torsion directed in a counter clockwise fashion. Penil torsion was corrected by degloving the penis and reattaching the skin. Postoperative recovery was uneventful.
Conclusion: There is not any report that suggest familial predisposition in penil torsion. Most often problem presents as a cosmetic defect and religous circumscision. Various techniques have been described for correcting penil torsion as degloving and realignment, suturing the tunica albuginea to pubic periosteum and using dorsal dartos flep.

Giriş: Penis torsiyon penis şaftında saatin tersi yönünde rotasyonla karakterize konjenital malformasyondur. Çalışmamızda sünnet için müracat eden iki kardeşte saptanan penil torsiyon olgusu sunulmuştur.
Olgu 1: 10 yaşında erkek hasta sünnet için müracat etti. Fizik muayenede saatin tersi yönünde 90° penil torsiyon görüldü. Peroperatif degloving yapılıp rotasyon düzeltildi. Postoperatif komplikasyon gelişmedi.
Olgu 2: 8 yaşında erkek hasta sünnet için müracat etti. Fizik muayenede saatin tersi yönünde 45° penil torsiyon görüldü. Peroperatif degloving yapılıp rotasyon düzeltildi. Postoperatif komplikasyon gelişmedi.
Sonuç: Penil torsiyonda ailesel yatkınlık bildirilmemiştir. Fonksiyonel soruna neden olmayan torsiyonlarda cerrahi endikasyon yoktur. Sünnet veya kozmetik nedenlerle degloving, tunika albugineanın pubik periosta sütüre edilmesi ve dorsal dartos flebi ile düzeltme işlemi yapılabilir.
