Background: Aim of the study  is to evaluate feasibility fast-track surgery concept in children with distal hypospadias who are treated by Snodgrass technique with day-care or one- night hospital stay.

Methods: Between 2012 and 2017 patients operated due to distal hypospadias were evaluated retrospectively. Data collected from hospital records were type of hypospadias, age of patient, applied technique, duration of hospital stay and complicat 

Results: There were 67  children in  the study. Mean age was 1.5 years ( 4months-14 years). Snodgrass procedure was the method of  choice in all cases. Thirty-nine children stayed at the hospital over-night due to coming abroad by their own request and in 28 children  the procedure was carried out as day-care surgery. There were no postoperative complication in any of  cases.

                      Conclusion: Distal hypospadias surgery is an excellent type of  procedure for implementation of  fast-task surgery concept. It also would be preferable by patien/parents

                           due to comfortable postoperative duration spending at home.

Amaç: Snograss tekniği kullanılarak günübirlik veya tek-gecelik kalış süresi ile onarım yapılan distal hipospadiaslı çocuklarda fast-track cerrahi konseptinin uygulanabilrliğinin değerlendirilmesi.

Yöntem: 2012-2017 seneleri arasında distal hipospadias nedeni ile opere  edilmiş olan hastalarretrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Hipospadias tipi, hasta yaşı, uygulanan teknik, hastane kalış süresi ve  komplikasyonlar hastane kayıtlarından elde edildi. 

Bulgular: Çalışmaya 67 hasta dahil edildi. Ortalama yaş 1,5 yıldı (4ay-14 yıl). Tüm hastalara Snodgrass tekniği uygulandı. Otuz yedi hasta il dışından gelme nedeni ile kendi istekleri ile tek gece yatırılarak, 28 hasta günübirlik olarak takip edilerek taburcu edildi. Hiçbir hastada postoperatif komplikasyon gözlenmedi.

Sonuç: Distal hipospadias fast-track cerrahi uygulaması için uygun bir cerrahi girişim şeklidir. Ayrıca bu uygulama evde geçirilen  konforlu postoperatif dönem açısında hasta/hasta yakını tarafından tercih edilebilecek bir yaklaşımdır.
